Game Overview

Realm came out for the Super Nintendo in 1996, developed and published by Titus France. It was a late release for the system, arriving when many players were already looking toward newer consoles, but it offered a particular kind of action-adventure experience that felt both familiar and slightly off-kilter.

You control a lone warrior exploring a vast, interconnected world screen by screen, fighting monsters with a sword and a bow. The main goal is to collect four elemental orbs to unlock the final fortress. Exploration is key; you push blocks to solve simple puzzles, uncover hidden passages in walls, and gather health upgrades and new weapons to survive the increasingly tough dungeons. The pacing is deliberate, almost methodical, and the difficulty can spike unexpectedly in later areas. It feels like slowly mapping a strange and sometimes unwelcoming place, where every new screen brings a small risk and a potential reward.
