Play Rebel Charge at Chickamauga Online
Command Confederate brigades on a hex map, maneuver to break Union lines, and manage supplies while facing tough AI in this strategic wargame.

Rebel Charge at Chickamauga came out in 1987 as part of the MS-DOS Classic Games series, developed by Avalon Hill. It was a solid wargame for its time, fitting right in with the detailed, turn-based strategy titles that appealed to history buffs and grognards on early home computers.
You command Confederate brigades, maneuvering them across a hex-based map of the Chickamauga battlefield, trying to break Union lines or capture key positions. The game emphasizes command control and supply; units out of communication range or low on ammunition become ineffective. The pacing is deliberate, almost slow, and the difficulty is high, with the AI capitalizing on any exposed flank or disordered unit. It feels like conducting a fragile, chaotic orchestra where one missed note can unravel everything.
Each game uses different controls, most DOS games use the keyboard arrows. Some will use the mouse , "Alt" ,"Enter" and "Space bar".
