The first time I played, I sent a whole brigade marching straight into Union artillery because I didn’t realize forests actually mattered for cover. Lesson learned.
The whole thing plays like a brutal chess match where the board keeps changing. Terrain, fatigue, even the weather screws with your plans. And those Union troops? They don’t just sit around waiting for you to flank them. It’s ugly, slow, and weirdly satisfying when you finally pull off a decent ambush. Just don’t expect pretty graphics—this is pure 90s strategy, all numbers and stubborn pride.

Each game uses different controls, most DOS games use the keyboard arrows. Some will use the mouse , "Alt" ,"Enter" and "Space bar".
