This one’s a sneaky little action-platformer that doesn’t waste time. You jump right in as a ninja who moves like a shadow—quick slashes, shurikens flying, and enemies dropping before they even see you. The controls feel tight, though I’ll admit the first few jumps had me faceplanting into spikes more than I’d like. But once you get the rhythm, darting between platforms and slicing up samurai becomes stupidly satisfying.
The pixel art’s got that classic GBC charm—vibrant without being garish—and the levels throw just enough curveballs to keep you alert. It’s not Ninja Gaiden-level brutal, but don’t expect a cakewalk either. If you’ve got a soft spot for ninja games that actually make you feel like a ninja (instead of a clunky tank in a black outfit), this one’s worth dusting off your Game Boy for.
Fair warning: you’ll probably yell at the screen a few times. But in a good way.
