Game Overview

Ever wanted to be Robin Hood but with 8-bit sword swings and pixelated Sherwood shenanigans? This NES game—based on the German version—lets you do just that. You start off dodging arrows in the forest, then quickly get into duels with the Sheriff’s goons. The controls feel a bit like Prince of Persia if it had more jumping and less wall-climbing.

It’s not the prettiest game out there, but there’s something weirdly satisfying about the way Robin moves—once you get used to his slightly stiff jumps. The levels throw in villagers to rescue, hidden paths, and the occasional surprise ambush. And yeah, the difficulty spikes are very much "old-school," so expect some trial and error.

If you’re into retro platformers that don’t hold your hand, this one’s a solid time-waster. Just don’t expect Kevin Costner’s face anywhere.
