RoboCop 2 on the Game Boy is exactly what you'd expect—a clunky, loud, and weirdly satisfying little slice of '90s action crammed into a greyscale screen. You stomp through Detroit as the big metal cop, blasting thugs with that iconic pistol while dodging their terrible aim. The controls are stiff (like RoboCop himself), but there's something charming about how hard it commits to being a straightforward shoot-'em-up.
It’s not as polished as the NES version, but the chunky sprites and those crunchy sound effects give it personality. The music’s better than it has any right to be, too—just wait until you hear the boss fight theme. And yeah, ED-209 still ruins your day just like in the movie. If you’re into retro games that don’t overcomplicate things, this one’s a solid time-waster between bus rides.
