RoboCop 2 on the Amiga is one of those games that throws a bit of everything at you—platforming, puzzles, and first-person shooting—but somehow makes it work. You start off stomping through industrial hellscapes, blasting drug dealers and dodging sawblades while hunting for Nuke canisters (mandatory, annoyingly). The levels are huge, full of elevators and acid leaks, and Robo’s got this satisfying punch that lets him smash through walls to new areas.

Between platform stages, there’s a weird but kinda cool memory puzzle where you trace circuits to uncover RoboCop’s past—mess up and you’re back to square one. Then it’s off to the shooting gallery, where you’re trying to nail targets without hitting civilians (way harder than it sounds, especially at night). Do well, and enemies go down faster in the next level.

Power-ups come in cola cans—some give you spread shots or shields, others screw you over with reversed controls. And yeah, the digitized movie stills look great in HAM mode. It’s janky in places, but there’s something oddly satisfying about methodically working through each stage.
