Robotron 2084 came out in 1982 for MS-DOS Classic Games, developed by Eugene Jarvis and Larry DeMar. It was one of those early arcade ports that really pushed the limits of what a home computer could handle, with its frantic pace and sheer number of enemies on screen at once.

You control a lone humanoid figure, using one joystick to move and another to fire in any direction. Your goal is simple: survive each wave, eliminate all enemy robots, and rescue the last remaining human family members scattered around the arena. The signature mechanics involve constant dual-stick maneuvering, dodging swarms of distinct enemy types like Grunts and Brains, and timing your shots to avoid hitting the very civilians you are trying to save. The pacing is relentless; hesitation means instant death. It feels like a high-wire act of controlled panic, where every successful screen cleared is a genuine relief.

Each game uses different controls, most DOS games use the keyboard arrows. Some will use the mouse , "Alt" ,"Enter" and "Space bar".
