Rocky on the GBA is basically a love letter to the first five movies, letting you relive all those underdog moments from Balboa’s career. You start off as a nobody in Movie Mode, working your way up through 20 iconic opponents—each fight unlocks little movie-style cutscenes that actually make it feel like you’re living the story.
Between fights, you’ve gotta train. Punching speed bags, sparring, hitting the heavy bag—it’s all here, and you can either go hands-on or let the game handle it. Mess around with combos, dodges, and timing in the ring, and you’ll start feeling like Rocky by the third or fourth fight.
Once you’ve beaten Movie Mode, Knockout Mode opens up—a survival-style tournament where you fight back-to-back for belts. There’s also Exhibition for quick matches (pick your opponent, venue, round length) and Versus if you wanna throw hands with a friend. It’s simple, but the training and movie nods give it way more personality than most boxing games.
