ROXX came out in 1995 as part of the MS-DOS Classic Games collection, developed by PLBM Games. It was a time when many small teams were putting out experimental titles, and this one fit right in with the era's focus on straightforward, challenging action games.
You control a small ship navigating tight, maze-like corridors, avoiding collisions with walls and enemy fire. The main goal is to survive as long as possible while destroying enemy ships and dodging obstacles; the screen scrolls automatically, forcing you to keep moving. Signature mechanics include precise directional shooting and careful maneuvering in confined spaces, with the pace being fast and the difficulty quite high. It feels tense and immediate, demanding your full attention at every moment.
Each game uses different controls, most DOS games use the keyboard arrows. Some will use the mouse , "Alt" ,"Enter" and "Space bar".
