Some of them even join you in dungeon crawls later, which is a nice twist.
What got me hooked was how the game splits into two generations—you play as a parent first, then later as their kid, which changes how the story unfolds. The combat's simple but satisfying, especially when you're whacking slimes with a hoe you just upgraded. And yeah, there's marriage, because what's a Harvest Moon game without awkwardly giving someone the same gift every day until they fall for you?
It's got that classic DS charm, even if the graphics feel a little dated now. If you ever wanted to water crops by day and fight goblins by night, this one's a weirdly perfect mix.
