Game Overview

Harvest Moon: More Friends of Mineral Town is basically the same cozy farming life you loved in Friends of Mineral Town, but this time you play as a girl. You start with a rundown farm—overgrown weeds, a rusty watering can, the whole deal—and slowly turn it into something alive. Plant crops, raise chickens that somehow escape every other day, and try not to faint when you realize how expensive cows are.

Mineral Town’s still full of the same quirky villagers, except now you’ve got a few new bachelors to awkwardly hand gifts to. (Pro tip: don’t give the doctor fish. He hates fish.) The festivals are back too—egg hunts, starry night concerts—and if you befriend people, they’ll randomly toss you useful stuff, like recipes or better tools.

Oh, and if you’ve got Another Wonderful Life on GameCube, you can link the two for bonus content. Mostly it’s small stuff, but it’s neat if you’re deep into the series. Just don’t expect to sleep much—between watering crops and chasing your dog around, time flies.
