The townsfolk actually have personalities (some are weirdly obsessed with turnips), and the whole thing has this low-key fantasy charm that makes grinding for better gear weirdly relaxing.
Pro tip: Don’t ignore the cooking system—healing items get expensive fast when you’re getting smacked around by cave bats. Also, marry the blacksmith. Trust me.
