Save Larisa is a 1990s MS-DOS platformer released as part of the 0 MS-DOS Classic Games collection. It was developed by a small team whose name doesn't appear prominently in the documentation, but it fits right in with the era's shareware offerings. You play a knight tasked with rescuing the princess from a multi-level fortress filled with traps and enemies.
You control the knight through side-scrolling stages, jumping between platforms while avoiding spikes and enemies. The main objective is to reach the end of each stage without dying; some enemies can be defeated by luring them into environmental hazards, but direct combat is rarely an option. The game uses a lives system, and checkpoints are sparse, so mistakes often mean restarting the entire level. The pacing is deliberate, and the difficulty is high, demanding careful timing and route memorization. It feels tense but satisfying when you finally clear a tricky section after multiple attempts.
Each game uses different controls, most DOS games use the keyboard arrows. Some will use the mouse , "Alt" ,"Enter" and "Space bar".
