Scorcher came out in 1996 as part of the MS-DOS Classic Games series, developed by Scavenger, Inc. You control a high-speed anti-gravity bike, racing against AI opponents across twisting, tubular tracks suspended above abstract landscapes. The main objective is straightforward: finish first. Signature mechanics include managing your bike's limited energy reserves, which deplete with boosts and must be replenished by collecting power-ups, and navigating tracks that often loop and corkscrew in disorienting ways. The pacing is relentless, and the difficulty is unforgiving, especially on later courses where precision becomes everything. It feels like wrestling control from a machine that desperately wants to crash.
Each game uses different controls, most DOS games use the keyboard arrows. Some will use the mouse , "Alt" ,"Enter" and "Space bar".
