Scroller is one of those MS-DOS games that somehow burrows into your brain and refuses to leave. You start off thinking, "Oh, this looks simple"—just a little guy hopping over gaps and dodging enemies—but by level three, you're white-knuckling the keyboard, muttering curses at pixel-perfect jumps. The controls are tight, which helps when you're threading between spikes with a pixel to spare.

It's got that perfect balance of "I can totally do this" and "why is this tiny green blob destroying my life?" The levels get mean in the best way, throwing in diagonal scrolling sections or enemies that move just slightly faster than you'd like. No tutorials, no checkpoints—just pure, unfiltered trial and error. If you ever spent hours on games like Lode Runner or Jumpman, this feels like stumbling on a forgotten level pack from that era.

Honestly, half the fun is the sound design—those crunchy little bleeps when you collect items, the way your character makes a tiny "oof" when you mistime a jump. It's the kind of game where you'll fail the same jump six times, nail it on the seventh, and immediately feel like a genius. Just don't blame me when you realize you've been playing for two hours straight.

Each game uses different controls, most DOS games use the keyboard arrows. Some will use the mouse , "Alt" ,"Enter" and "Space bar".
