Game Overview

Second Samurai picks up right where the first game left off—your samurai chases the Demon King back to ancient Japan, and now you've got ten levels of sword-swinging, puzzle-solving chaos ahead. The levels are split into bite-sized chunks this time, each ending with a boss fight that keeps things feeling arcade-y. At first, you're just a dude with no weapons, but you'll scavenge swords and daggers as you go, which helps when you stumble into hidden areas (and there are a lot of them).

Weirdly, there's even a shoot 'em up section thrown in, because why not? It’s a little janky in that classic Amiga way, but the mix of slashing and secrets makes it way more interesting than just another hack-and-slash. The bosses are the real highlight—some of them take a few tries to figure out, but that’s half the fun.
