Man, Sega Rally Championship on the Saturn still holds up. It’s pure arcade racing—no fuss, just you, a handful of wild tracks, and cars that slide around like they’re on butter. The handling’s not exactly realistic, but who cares when drifting around tight corners feels this good?
You’ve got three cars to pick from (I always went with the Celica), and four tracks that start simple but get brutal fast. Mud flies, tires screech, and that one jump on the mountain course still sends me flying off if I’m not careful. Time trials are where it gets addictive—racing against your own ghost car makes shaving seconds off way too satisfying.
Oh, and if you’ve got a buddy with another Saturn, linking two consoles for split-screen is chaos in the best way. It’s not the deepest racer, but it’s the kind of game you boot up when you just want to hit the gas and go.
