If you grew up with a Genesis, Sonic Jam is basically nostalgia in a Sega Saturn case. It bundles the classics—Sonic 1, 2, 3, and even Sonic & Knuckles—so you can relive the days of loop-de-loops, chaos emeralds, and that one underwater level everyone hated. Tails and Knuckles join the fun later, and yeah, you’ll still get wrecked by Robotnik’s ridiculous death traps.
The real gem here? The 3D museum, which was exclusive to this version. You wander around as a polygonal Sonic (a novelty at the time) checking out concept art, character bios, and weird trivia—like how Robotnik was originally just some guy named "Eggman" in Japan. It’s not much by today’s standards, but back then, it felt like digging through a secret vault of Sega lore.
Honestly, the games themselves hold up surprisingly well, though the Saturn’s controller makes the spin dash feel a little off. Still, if you miss the days of 2D speed and bonus stages, this is the easiest way to replay them all in one place.
