Play Seishun Scandal (Japan) Online
You dodge teachers and classmates in this bizarre high school sim where getting caught sneaking around triggers hilariously dramatic scenes straight out of a soap opera.
Seishun Scandal is a Japan-only release for the Sega Master System, developed by Sega. It came out during the late 1980s, a time when the console was home to a mix of arcade ports and quirky, experimental titles that didn't always make it overseas.
You control a high school student trying to sneak through the campus without being spotted by teachers or other students. The main goal is to explore each area of the school, avoid detection, and reach your objectives, often involving retrieving items or meeting someone without raising suspicion. Getting caught triggers exaggerated, dramatic cutscenes that play out like moments from a daytime soap, complete with over-the-top reactions. The game progresses screen by screen, with a focus on timing your movements and memorizing patrol routes. It's not especially long, but the trial-and-error nature makes some sections tricky. Playing it feels like balancing on a tightrope between stealth and absurdity.
