Play Shadow Warriors (E) Online

Shadow Warriors (E) is an NES side-scroller where you play as a ninja cutting through waves of enemies. The controls feel stiff at first—your jumps are floaty, and attacks don't always land cleanly. But once you adjust, there's something satisfying about the rhythm of slashing through enemy ninjas and dodging shurikens.

The levels get brutal fast. You'll die a lot, mostly from cheap hits off-screen or awkward platforming. Some sections feel like trial-and-error memorization, which can be frustrating. But when you finally clear a tough stage, it's a solid rush.

Visually, it's classic NES—simple sprites, but the ninja animations have a nice flow. The music is forgettable, though. Shadow Warriors (E) isn't the best in the genre, but it's got that old-school challenge if you're into it.
