Play Shard of Spring Online
You pick a party, freeze your fingers off in a cursed world, and pray your spell combos save you when wolves jump you in the woods—good luck finding that Shard.

Game Overview
Shard of Spring is one of those MS-DOS RPGs that feels like stumbling into a forgotten dungeon—complete with cryptic clues and monsters that'll wreck you if you're not careful. You start with a ragtag party (good luck choosing classes—I went with two fighters and regretted it immediately) and get tossed into a world where everything's frozen solid. The goal? Find the Shard, obviously, but good luck figuring out where to even start.
The magic system's deeper than you'd expect for 1988—none of that "fireball and forget" nonsense. You actually have to manage spell points and think about combos, which is brutal when you're getting ambushed by wolves five minutes in. And the music? All eerie synths that make even the empty forests feel like they're watching you. Just don't get too attached to your first save file.
It's the kind of game where you'll scribble notes on graph paper and still get lost, but beating that one boss after six tries feels like cracking a secret code. If you miss RPGs that treat you like a grown-up (or just want to suffer beautifully), this is your blizzard-blasted time capsule.
Each game uses different controls, most DOS games use the keyboard arrows. Some will use the mouse , "Alt" ,"Enter" and "Space bar".
