Shenanigans was part of the MS-DOS Classic Games collection, though it didn't come from a major developer or publisher. It was one of those shareware platformers that felt right at home in the early 90s, running on systems where managing conventional memory was half the battle.
You control a small, nondescript character tasked with collecting treasure across a series of single-screen stages. The main objective is simply to grab every piece of loot and exit before the stage's many hazards overwhelm you. Signature mechanics include dodging falling boulders, rogue cannonballs, and disappearing floor tiles, all while navigating tight spaces. The pacing is relentless, and the difficulty is unforgiving, with instant death waiting behind nearly every surprise. It feels like a constant, frantic scramble where one wrong move resets all your progress.
Each game uses different controls, most DOS games use the keyboard arrows. Some will use the mouse , "Alt" ,"Enter" and "Space bar".
