The whole "find out you’re actually super important to some cosmic power struggle" trope hits hard here.

Gameplay-wise, it’s classic SMT—first-person dungeon crawling where half the strategy is sweet-talking demons into joining your party instead of eating your face. The fusion system’s back, but now your demon hybrids can inherit spells from their "parents," which makes experimenting way more satisfying. Oh, and there’s a casino. Because when the world’s ending, why not gamble for healing items?

Alignment matters more than ever—every choice nudges you toward Law, Chaos, or Neutral, and the story branches hard based on which side you lean into. Just don’t expect a happy ending no matter what you pick. The dungeons are mazes designed to make you regret every life decision, and the soundtrack? Still an eerie, synth-heavy masterpiece. If you liked the first game, this one cranks everything up a notch.
