Play Side Pocket on Snes Online
Line up trick shots across the U.S., sweating every miss—those limited lives make even simple shots tense. Bonus stages pop up just when you need a break from the grind.

Side Pocket on SNES is one of those pool games that looks simple at first—just sink balls, hit the target score, and move on—but it gets sneaky fast. You start off in City Class, lining up shots on clean tables, but by State Class, they throw in trick shots that’ll make you reset the level if you mess up. And yeah, you only get a few lives, so every missed shot stings.
The SNES version is way prettier than the NES one, with smoother animations and a jazzy soundtrack. There’s also this weirdly satisfying road-trip vibe—you’re basically touring the U.S., winning championships in different cities. The bonus stages pop up randomly, which keeps things interesting when you’re grinding through levels.
If you’ve played the arcade original, this feels like a proper upgrade. The two-player mode is solid, but the real challenge is the single-player campaign. Just don’t get too cocky after clearing the first few tables—those later trick shots are brutal.
