Game Overview
Siege is one of those old-school MS-DOS war games where you either play as the classic fantasy evil horde—orcs, trolls, all that fun stuff—or the usual good guys like elves and dwarves. You're either storming castles or desperately trying to hold them, and honestly, the first time I played, I had no clue what half the units even did. Berserkers? Engineers? Turns out, yeah, you kinda need both.
There’s something satisfying about setting up a siege tower while your catapults lob rocks at the walls, only to realize too late that the defenders just dumped burning oil on your guys. The scenarios give you plenty of ways to fail spectacularly, but the editor means you can tweak things or just make your own chaotic battles. It’s clunky by today’s standards, but there’s a weird charm to it.
Each game uses different controls, most DOS games use the keyboard arrows. Some will use the mouse , "Alt" ,"Enter" and "Space bar".
