Play Sims 2 - Castaway, The (E) Online
Stranded with just your wits, you’ll scavenge vines to build tools, outsmart thieving monkeys, and barely scrape together a shelter before dark—somehow making coconut husks feel like treasure. The island’s full of odd ruins and useless castaways, but watching your little Sim finally master fire after ten failed attempts? Priceless.

I picked up Sims 2: Castaway for the Nintendo DS back in 2007, a Maxis game that felt right at home on the handheld. It was a different kind of Sims experience, trading suburban drama for pure survival on a mysterious island, and it fit perfectly into that era of DS games focused on unique, portable concepts.
You control a custom Sim who washes ashore with nothing, and your main goal is simply to stay alive and find a way off the island. The gameplay revolves around gathering resources like wood and stone to craft tools, building and upgrading your shelter screen by screen, and managing your Sim's hunger and energy. The pacing is deliberate, sometimes slow, as you repeatedly forage for specific items or fail a crafting attempt, forcing you to try again. It feels like a constant, low-stakes struggle against the environment, where every small success, like finally cooking a fish, brings a genuine sense of relief.
