Sir Lancelot came out in 1983 for the Atari 2600, developed by Atari themselves. It was part of that wave of early action adventure games, trying to bring a bit of Arthurian flavor to the console. You don't see many people talk about it now, but back then it was just another cartridge you might swap in after a session of Pac Man or Pitfall.

You control a knight, moving screen by screen through a castle full of enemies. Your goal is to rescue Guinevere from a dragon guarded fortress. The main mechanics involve using your sword to fight off knights and other creatures; you also have a shield that can block some attacks, but timing is everything. The game moves quickly, and the difficulty ramps up fast, with enemies coming from all sides. It feels tense and a little unforgiving, but landing a clean hit on a foe is always satisfying.
