Slayers is a 1994 Super Nintendo Entertainment System game developed by Banpresto. It came out during a time when the SNES was full of ambitious RPGs, and this one was based on a popular anime series, which wasn't too common back then.
You control Lina Inverse, a powerful and greedy sorceress, traveling across a world map to pick fights and advance the story. The main goal is to recover her lost memories, which involves plenty of dungeon crawling and interacting with a cast of familiar characters. Combat is turn-based and viewed from a first-person perspective, where you select spells and attacks from a menu. The pacing is brisk, focused more on frequent battles and quick story progression than on exploration or complex puzzles. It feels like diving straight into the chaotic, magic-heavy conflicts of the show.
