Play Slipstream 5000 Online
Dodging pyramids at 300mph in a neon hovercraft while some cheesy announcer yells your name—pure '90s DOS racing magic with more personality than physics.

Game Overview
Slipstream 5000 is this weirdly charming DOS-era hover racer where you zip around famous landmarks in these futuristic skimmers. The first thing that hits you is the vibe—bright colors, cheesy character designs (looking at you, "Isis the Crisis"), and tracks that feel like someone dropped a sci-fi speedway into the Grand Canyon or downtown Chicago. Controls take a minute to click—you’re basically drifting on air—but once it does, there’s something satisfying about nailing those tight turns around ancient ruins.
It’s janky by today’s standards, sure. The 3D polygons were cutting-edge in ’95, but now they’re more nostalgic than impressive. Still, picking between the twin sisters Kin & Gin or the edgelord "Slayed" gives it personality most racers lack. Fun fact: it came bundled with old Logitech joysticks, which explains why the keyboard controls feel like an afterthought. Runs best in DOSBox unless you’ve got a Windows 98 time machine lying around.
Not gonna lie, it’s more of a curiosity now than a must-play, but there’s a scrappy energy to it that makes you root for the game.
Each game uses different controls, most DOS games use the keyboard arrows. Some will use the mouse , "Alt" ,"Enter" and "Space bar".
