I picked up Smurfs Nightmare on the Game Boy Color back in 1999, a time when licensed platformers were everywhere. The goal is to rescue your captured friends by exploring screen by screen, avoiding enemies like shadow hands, and bouncing on giant mushrooms to reach higher areas. You collect keys to unlock doors and find items that help you progress, with the puzzles becoming more complex in later stages. The game moves at a steady pace, though some jumps require precise timing. It feels like a straightforward, charming quest through a familiar but dangerous world.
