Game Overview

Snipes is that weird little ASCII game from the MS-DOS days where you and a friend (or the computer) control these arrow-shaped things, zipping around a maze and dropping traps behind you. It’s like if Snake and Tron had a minimalist baby—no graphics, just symbols on a screen, but somehow it turns into this frantic, keyboard-slapping showdown.

Back then, the fact that you could hook up two PCs to play against each other felt like black magic. I remember sneaking it onto school computers and watching people panic when they realized they’d boxed themselves in. The controls take a second to click—turning feels awkward at first—but once you get the hang of it, there’s something weirdly satisfying about outmaneuvering someone with nothing but hashtags and arrows.

It’s the kind of game where you’ll lose half your matches because you accidentally backed into your own tail.

Each game uses different controls, most DOS games use the keyboard arrows. Some will use the mouse , "Alt" ,"Enter" and "Space bar".
