Play Sołtys Online
You're a frazzled village head chasing your runaway future son-in-law through Wąchock's absurd backstreets, arguing with drunks and poking at surreal puzzles while the game deadpans Polish countryside humor at you.

Sołtys came out in 1995 as part of the MS-DOS Classic Games series, developed by L.K. Avalon. It was a time when point-and-click adventures were common, and this one stood out for its distinctly Polish setting and dry, rural humor.
You play as the village mayor, or sołtys, trying to track down your runaway future son-in-law. The gameplay involves navigating screen by screen through the village of Wąchock, interacting with quirky locals and solving often surreal inventory-based puzzles. You collect items, engage in conversations with drunks and other odd characters, and piece together clues to advance. The pacing is deliberate, sometimes slow, with a difficulty that leans on logical leaps and cultural in-jokes. It feels like stumbling through a folk tale where every corner hides another absurd situation.
Each game uses different controls, most DOS games use the keyboard arrows. Some will use the mouse , "Alt" ,"Enter" and "Space bar".
