Game Overview

SOCOM: Fireteam Bravo 2 on PSP takes everything that worked in the first game and cranks it up—new squadmates, better weapons, and this weirdly addictive "Local Influence" system where helping civilians actually unlocks gear. Instead of globe-trotting, you're stuck in Adjikistan (basically a fictional warzone with way too many insurgents), playing as SANDMAN again while unraveling some conspiracy involving shady mercs called Shadow Element.

The campaign’s 14 missions feel meaty, but the real surprise is how good the instant action mode is—random objectives keep you replaying the same maps without getting stale. And yeah, you’ve got your usual SOCOM crew like Lonestar, but they threw in Bronco and Wraith from Mobile Recon too, which was a nice touch.

Multiplayer holds up surprisingly well for a PSP title. Twelve maps, seven game types, and voice chat (if you could ever get your hands on that clunky PSP headset). Syncing with SOCOM: Combined Assault on PS2 unlocks extra gear, but honestly, the real fun is just sneaking through bombed-out villages with your fireteam. Still one of the best tactical shooters on the system.
