Song Master came out for the Super Nintendo in 1992, published by Athena. It was one of those lesser-known titles that showed up in the middle of the console's life, not quite a blockbuster but something different from the usual platformers and RPGs.
You control a character who moves through stages by tapping buttons in time with the music.
