Okay, so Sonic Boom is one of those weirdly addictive Flash games where you basically launch Sonic (or his friends) out of a cannon like a furry projectile. The goal? Get as far as possible while grabbing rings mid-air, because of course Sonic needs his rings, even when he’s being yeeted across the screen.
At first, I just spammed the fire button, but then I realized you actually get bonus rings based on how far you fly. Between launches, you can spend those rings to unlock other characters, Amy bounces like she’s on a trampoline, Cream does this weird ear-flapping thing that somehow gives her extra airtime. Tails? Honestly, he kinda sucked for distance, but maybe I was using him wrong.
It’s simple, but there’s something satisfying about tweaking your angle and power to squeeze out just a few more pixels of distance. The music’s obnoxiously cheerful, too. You’ll either love it or mute it after five minutes.
