Remember those old-school Sonic games you used to play on the Sega Genesis? This DS collection packs four of them into one cartridge—Sonic 1, 2, 3, and Sonic & Knuckles—so you can take the chaos on the go. The first time I booted it up, I immediately got hit by nostalgia when Green Hill Zone’s music started playing.
It’s all here: the loop-de-loops, the ring-collecting panic when you get hit, and Robotnik’s ridiculous egg-shaped contraptions. The DS screen’s a bit small for some of the faster sections, but after a few tries, you adjust. And yeah, you can still do that thing where you attach Sonic 3 to Sonic & Knuckles for the full experience—they even kept the lock-on feature.
Perfect for quick bursts of speed when you’re waiting around, or if you just want to relive the 90s in handheld form.
