Remember those old-school Flash games that just threw you right into the action? Sonic Sky Chase is exactly that—no tutorials, no hand-holding, just you, Tails, and Robotnik’s dumb floating ship thing. The twist here is you’re flying instead of running, which feels weird at first (Sonic’s feet should not leave the ground, honestly), but the controls are simple enough—tap to rise, let go to drop, and try not to faceplant into missiles or those annoying crab robots.
Four short stages, but they get brutal fast. Robotnik’s ship spits out hazards like it’s allergic to peace, and by the second loop, the screen’s basically a bullet hell. I kept dying because I’d get greedy trying to snag rings mid-chase. Classic mistake. The music’s got that early 2000s synth energy, though, so at least you’ll fail bobbing your head.
It’s the kind of game you finish in 10 minutes, then immediately restart just to see if you can survive longer this time.
