Play Sonic Smash Brothers Online
Sonic and friends beat the stuffing out of each other in janky Flash brawls—spin dashes send rivals flying, Tails’ copter spin spams like crazy, and every match descends into glorious chaos. Feels like someone modded Smash Bros. with duct tape and nostalgia.

Remember that old-school Super Smash Bros. vibe on N64? Sonic Smash Brothers totally nails that chaotic energy, but with a blue blur twist. You’ve got Sonic, Tails, Knuckles—all the usual suspects—brawling it out on floating platforms. The more you wail on your opponent, the higher their damage meter climbs, and suddenly a well-timed spin dash sends them flying off-screen. It’s janky in that charming Flash-game way, but the core chaos feels surprisingly faithful. Just don’t expect polished hitboxes when you’re spamming Tails’ helicopter spin in a corner.
First match, I picked Sonic and immediately faceplanted trying to recreate his down-air from Melee. Turns out his homing attack works way better for edge-guarding. The stages are simple but fun, with just enough hazards to keep you on your toes. It’s basically a love letter to both Sonic fans and anyone who misspent their childhood with a CRT and a rumble pak. If you’ve got Flash running somewhere, it’s worth a few rounds for the nostalgia alone.
