So, Sonic Waterfall Adventure is one of those classic Flash games where Sonic ditches the usual loop-de-loops for some chill waterfall hopping. Instead of blasting through levels at mach speed, you’re mostly dropping from rock to rock, grabbing these weird little shapes and symbols scattered around. The stars are the real prize—300 points each—but honestly, I kept going for the hearts because, well, I kept misjudging the drops.
It’s got that janky Flash physics thing where sometimes you’ll stick a landing perfectly, and other times you’ll just… slide right off. Not gonna lie, it’s kind of satisfying when you nail a chain of drops without jumping once. The waterfalls look surprisingly nice for a Flash game, though—lots of blues and greens, like someone went wild with the gradient tool.
Score chasing is the main hook, but half the fun is seeing how long you can go without faceplanting into the water below. Give it a shot if you miss that era of simple, slightly awkward platformers.
