Game Overview
So, Sonic Xtreme—it’s one of those weird, off-brand Sonic Flash games that somehow ended up feeling both familiar and totally off. You’ve got the speed, the loops, and rings everywhere, but the physics are… questionable. Like, Sonic sometimes slides around like he’s on ice, and jumping feels a little floaty.
Weirdest part? Mario characters just show up. No explanation. You’ll be dodging spike pits (which are way more brutal than in the main games) and suddenly there’s Bowser chillin’ in the background. Oh, and the timer? Yeah, it’s ruthless—some stages barely give you enough time to figure out where to go. Not the polished Sonic experience, but kind of a fun mess if you’re into janky retro stuff.
Definitely not the first Sonic fangame I’d recommend, but it’s got its own weird charm.
