Play Sorcerer's Apprentice, The Online
You’re the wizard’s clumsy new helper—draw spells on the touchscreen, watch them backfire spectacularly, then scramble to clean up the magical mess. The sarcastic brooms and potion puzzles don’t make it any easier.

Disney Interactive Studios released The Sorcerer's Apprentice for the Nintendo DS in 2010, a time when the handheld was full of licensed games and touchscreen experiments. It's based on the live-action film of the same name, placing you in the shoes of Dave Stutler, a physics student who gets pulled into a world of ancient magic.
You control Dave through various levels, using the stylus to draw specific glyphs on the touch screen to cast spells; these range from defensive shields to offensive attacks against magical enemies. The main goal is to stop the evil Morganians from unleashing darkness, which involves navigating screen by screen environments, solving environmental puzzles, and engaging in combat. The pacing is fairly straightforward, though some spell gestures can be finicky to execute under pressure. It feels like a light, interactive romp that leans heavily on its core gimmick.
