Play Sorceror's Apprentice Online
Action-puzzle game where players explore dungeons, solve puzzles, and cast spells. Features potion brewing, enemy evasion, and timed challenges. Released for Amiga.

I first played Sorceror's Apprentice on the Amiga back in the day; it was one of those games that quietly appeared without much fanfare. Developed by Rod Pike and published by MicroIllusions, it fit right in with the platform's appetite for thoughtful, puzzle-driven experiences. It didn't try to dazzle with spectacle, but instead offered a methodical challenge that felt right at home among other cerebral titles of the era.
You control a young wizard's apprentice tasked with recovering stolen spell components from a multi-level dungeon. Movement is screen by screen; you explore rooms, avoid or outsmart enemies like bats and spiders, and gather ingredients for potions. The core of the game involves brewing those potions through specific combinations, which you then use to overcome obstacles or access new areas. The pacing is deliberate, almost tense, as you manage limited resources and time your actions to evade threats. It feels like a careful, sometimes frantic dance between preparation and quick thinking.
