Spaced came out in 1992 as part of the MS-DOS Classic Games collection, developed by Psyclapse. It was one of those straightforward, no-frills shooters that felt right at home on a PC loaded with shareware disks, a product of its time that asked for little but offered a solid challenge.
You pilot a small ship, moving it screen by screen through a maze of corridors, blasting waves of geometric alien enemies with a simple laser. The main objective is survival; clear each room of foes to proceed, collecting power-ups that occasionally drop to enhance your firepower. The pacing is relentless, the difficulty steep, with enemy patterns that demand quick reflexes and careful positioning. It feels like a tense, methodical dance where one wrong move ends everything.
Each game uses different controls, most DOS games use the keyboard arrows. Some will use the mouse , "Alt" ,"Enter" and "Space bar".
