Play Speedball 2 - Brutal Deluxe on Msdos Online
You control a bunch of glorified hockey goons, slamming dudes into electrified walls and ricocheting the ball off warp gates while desperately trying to score before the timer runs out. Between matches, you scrape together cash to upgrade your trash-tier team from basement dwellers to champions.
Speedball 2: Brutal Deluxe came out in 1990 as part of the MS-DOS Classic Games lineup, developed by The Bitmap Brothers. It was a time when fast-paced sports hybrids were finding their footing on PC, and this one stood out for its sheer aggression and polished visuals. The game didn't try to be realistic; it leaned into a gritty, industrial future where sports were less about rules and more about survival.
You control a team of armored players in a violent ball game that mixes elements of handball and hockey. The main objective is to outscore the opponent by throwing the ball into their goal, but the real focus is on physical domination. You tackle opponents into electrified walls, ricochet the ball off boost pads and warp gates, and collect coins that appear on the pitch to upgrade your team between matches. The pacing is relentless, with matches often decided in the final seconds, and the difficulty escalates sharply as you face better-funded rivals. It feels like managing controlled chaos, where every match is a brutal scramble for points and cash.
Each game uses different controls, most DOS games use the keyboard arrows. Some will use the mouse , "Alt" ,"Enter" and "Space bar".
