Separation Anxiety came out on the Super Nintendo in 1995, developed by Software Creations. It was one of those side-scrolling beat 'em ups that felt right at home on the system, a straightforward co-op experience built around the popular comic book characters of the time.

You control either Spider-Man or Venom, moving from left to right through city streets and laboratories, punching and kicking an endless supply of symbiote creatures. The main goal is to stop Carnage and his offspring from causing more havoc. Venom can grab enemies and absorb them to regain health, a mechanic that feels appropriately brutal. The game is notoriously difficult, with cheap enemy spawns and overwhelming numbers that demand constant movement. It feels like a chaotic, slightly janky brawl that is best enjoyed with a partner to share the frustration.
