Spider-Man: Edge of Time on DS is one of those rare games where messing with time actually feels cool instead of confusing. You’re swapping between classic Spidey and his futuristic 2099 version, trying to stop some genius’s experiment from literally erasing Peter Parker from existence. The timelines overlap in weird ways—like, if you knock out a guard in the past, suddenly a door’s unlocked for 2099 Spider-Man. Neat trick, right?
Combat’s fast and punchy (lots of web-slinging, obviously), but the real hook is the story. Peter David wrote it, so expect some legit Marvel drama—plus Val Kilmer’s voice coming out of a villain’s mouth, which is just fun. The DS version keeps things tight with side-scrolling action, so don’t expect open-world swinging. It’s more like a race against the clock with some clever twists.
