Play StarFox Command (J) Online
You swipe and tap the DS screen to pilot your Arwing—feels awkward until you're suddenly pulling off tight turns and nailing shots with quick stylus flicks. Plotting your route between dogfights adds just enough strategy to the arcade chaos.

StarFox Command came out on the Nintendo DS in 2006, developed by Q-Games and published by Nintendo. It was a solid entry in the series during a time when the DS was full of experimental titles trying new things with the touch screen and dual displays. This one definitely took its own swing at reimagining how a space shooter could work on a handheld.
You control Fox McCloud and other team members piloting Arwings across a strategic map, moving your ship to intercept enemies before engaging in on-rails or all-range mode combat. The main objective is to protect the Great Fox carrier and defeat the Anglar forces by clearing sectors of enemies. Signature mechanics include drawing your flight path directly on the lower screen with the stylus and using touch controls for steering and shooting during battles. The pacing is brisk, with short, intense combat segments broken up by strategic planning, and the difficulty can spike during some of the boss encounters. It feels like a frantic, tactile scramble to keep everything under control.
