Play Stunt Race FX (Europe) Online
Your wobbly-eyed car fishtails around loops and off jumps, barely holding together as the SNES wheezes to keep up—somehow that’s the magic.

Stunt Race FX came out in 1994 for the Super Nintendo, developed by Nintendo and Argonaut Games. It was one of the early polygonal racers on the system, using the Super FX chip to push the hardware in a new direction. The graphics were simple and chunky by today's standards, but at the time it felt like a glimpse into the future of racing games.
You control a small, polygonal vehicle through a series of stunt tracks filled with loops, corkscrews, and jumps. The main goal is to finish each race in first place while avoiding obstacles and rival cars. Two key mechanics are the way your car visibly deforms and crumples upon impact, and the way you can perform mid-air stunts by tilting the vehicle during jumps. The game moves at a steady, sometimes sluggish pace, and the handling takes some getting used to, but nailing a perfect lap or a tricky stunt is genuinely satisfying. It feels like a charming, slightly clumsy experiment that’s full of personality.
