SU-25 Stormovik came out in 1990 for MS-DOS, developed by Strategic Simulations, Inc. It was part of that wave of early PC flight sims where you got a thick manual and expected to spend time learning the systems. The game puts you in the cockpit of a Soviet ground attack aircraft, tasked with taking out enemy targets across various Cold War-era scenarios.

You control the aircraft from a first-person cockpit view, managing throttle, weapons, and navigation to complete missions. The main objective is to destroy assigned ground targets like tanks, bunkers, and convoys while avoiding anti-aircraft fire and enemy fighters. Signature mechanics include selecting and deploying different ordnance, such as rockets and bombs, and managing your limited fuel and ammunition. The pacing is tense; missions require careful planning and quick reactions, and the difficulty can be unforgiving if you misjudge an approach. It feels raw and focused, like you're really responsible for every decision from takeoff to landing.

Each game uses different controls, most DOS games use the keyboard arrows. Some will use the mouse , "Alt" ,"Enter" and "Space bar".
