Game Overview

Subbuteo - The Computer Game on Amiga is basically digital tabletop football, but with that classic early '90s charm. You flick little players across the pitch, trying to score goals, and the physics feel surprisingly close to the real-life version—if you’ve ever played with the actual tabletop game, you’ll recognize the slight unpredictability of the ball.

The controls take a minute to get used to—you’re not just tapping buttons, you’re timing your flicks just right. Miss, and your player might overshoot or barely nudge the ball. But when you nail it, sending the ball curling into the top corner, it’s weirdly satisfying. The AI isn’t brutal, but it’s not a pushover either, so matches stay tense.

It’s not flashy by today’s standards, but there’s something oddly addictive about it. If you’ve got nostalgia for old-school sports games or just want something simple but competitive, this one’s worth a few rounds.
